Regardless
whether the subject matter is legal, corporate, technical or literary,
we’ve made a conscientious effort to hire language
professionals with outstanding skill and experience in each particular
field. All translators we retain for legal assignments are certified in
their legal jurisdiction.
Those
who work on corporate or technical work generally belong to a
professional organization which upholds certain performance standards.
However,
if and when one of our clients requests a specific certification or any
other professional credentials, we will be happy to secure the services
of a translator who fulfills them.
Advertising

Transfer
One
of the most rewarding fields in our profession is the translation of
advertising messages, both because the final result will reach a large
audience, and because we feel we can contribute to our
clients’ success.
Unfortunately,
while observing advertising messages (either in printed or audiovisual
form) offered to a multicultural, multilingual society such as the US,
for instance, we often come across messages which were poorly
translated or, even worse, creative and effective messages whose
meaning and soul were not faithfully reproduced in the target language,
compromising the expected results.
Translations
for this type of message are often an afterthought, left in the hands
of translators who might not have the training or experience to
understand the impact and importance of their task. It’s also
possible that the clients themselves don’t know how important
such work actually is.
In
our opinion, this type of communication shouldn’t be given to
translators who commonly perform legal, corporate or technical work. It
should be given to language professionals educated, or with experience,
in the fields of advertising or public relations. Our in-house staff
has both the academic education in mass media and advertising, and
experience handling a variety of similar projects in the past.
We call this type of work
True Cultural Transfer; we have access to a select team of translators,
with experience working for mass media; they keep abreast of current
events and trends in popular culture. Moreover, before delivering a
translation to our clients, we send it to professional test readers and
other colleagues to review them, thereby ensuring that said message is
accurate and appropriate for its intended purpose.

Expert Testimony
Not
all translation work is performed under the same standards. Sometimes,
in an effort to reduce costs, a decision is made to choose an
inexperienced translator; maybe a job is rushed because of a tight
deadline, without appropriate review, hence compromising the result.
Whatever
the cause, the consequences may be, at best, unpleasant or
embarrassing; at worst, they may involve legal costs or unwanted
delays; it may be necessary to resolve a dispute over legal or
technical terms.
While
we hope none of our clients will find themselves in that situation, we
do offer language consulting and expert testimony services to help
resolve issues that often involve lawsuits or other legal action.
For
this particular service, we will provide translators and/or
interpreters who are certified by the authority under whose
jurisdiction the issue is heard.
Since
we understand that often these proceedings are delicate, or may deal
with privileged industry information, we guarantee full discretion and
professionalism in these matters. If necessary, our service providers
will sign confidentiality agreements regarding each case, in order to
protect the integrity and continued profitability of our valued clients.
Another service we offer is
language consulting for a variety of corporate, trade and advertising
projects. Regardless whether our clients have in-house translators or
hire their own contractors, we can assist in overviewing a large
project, giving it consistency, and even an additional measure of
quality control.
Presentations
We
offer support to clients who travel to different countries where they
meet foreign audiences, holding presentations for sales, training or
promotion of their products and services.
Any
visual material –slides or animations– which
includes text can be skillfully and accurately translated into the
target language, to provide the audience with the content they need.
Besides our translation
services, we can also create 35mm slides for projection, or CDs in any
currently available format or presentation software.
